This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on gohighclaw.app, app.gohighclaw.app, and the pages we host for Customers. It supplements the Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. We use "first-party" cookies (set by our domains) and a small number of "third-party" cookies set by providers that run parts of the Service. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers on the Service.

2. Cookies on the platform (gohighclaw.app and app.gohighclaw.app)

Cookie or storageSet byPurposeTypeDuration
__session, __client_uat, __clerk_db_jwt and relatedClerk (our authentication provider)Keeps you signed in, verifies your session, protects against cross-site request forgeryStrictly necessarySession to 7 days; refreshed while active
hlc-theme (browser local storage, not a cookie)High Level ClawRemembers your dark or light theme choice; contains only the word "light" or "dark"FunctionalUntil you clear browser storage
hlc_srcHigh Level ClawRemembers the campaign, referrer, and landing page of your first visit so we can credit a referral and understand where signups come from; contains no name, email, or IP address; set once and never overwrittenFunctional30 days
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sidStripeFraud prevention and checkout continuity on billing pagesStrictly necessary12 months / 30 minutes

This table lists the first-party names the platform sets today. Additional names (for example a cookie that remembers the Organization you last worked in, form protection values, and the short-lived values that protect a connection flow when you link a Connected Service) are added to this table when the features that set them ship.

Error monitoring (Sentry) and our hosting and content delivery providers (Vercel, Cloudflare) may set technical cookies or headers needed to serve the site securely and to protect against bots. These do not identify you across other websites.

We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we add privacy-preserving analytics in the future, we will update this table and, where the law requires, ask for consent first.

3. Cookies on Tenant Sites and hosted pages

Tenant Sites, booking pages, signing pages, and forms are published by the Customer whose business they represent. On those pages:

  • We set only the strictly necessary cookies needed to serve the page, protect forms, and keep a booking or signing session alive (a short-lived session token on booking and signing pages; its name is added to this policy when those pages ship).
  • Visit counts are collected without cookies and without storing IP addresses in the count record.
  • If a Customer adds their own analytics, chat widget, pixel, or other script to their site, that script is chosen by the Customer and governed by the Customer's own cookie and privacy notices. The Service's generated privacy page includes a cookie section the Customer must keep accurate.
  • Signing pages record the signer's IP address and browser details in the signing certificate. This is a record, not a tracking cookie.

4. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

When your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information, which we do not do in any case. The hlc_src referral cookie carries no personal information and is not used for advertising; you can delete it at any time (Section 5). Strictly necessary cookies are still set because the Service cannot work without them.

5. Your choices

  • Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
  • Banner. Where the law of your location requires consent for non-essential cookies, a banner lets you accept or decline them, and you can change your choice at any time from the link in the site footer.
  • Referral cookie. Deleting hlc_src before you sign up means a referral may not be credited.

6. Changes and contact

We update this policy when the cookies we use change. Questions: support@openclawassistance.com, Open Claw Assistance LLC, 30 N Gould St #21315, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
